Three Adwords Tips You Need To Know About Google Pay Per Click Advertising

If you are currently getting “laser targeted traffic” to your website from all over the world or within a local “geo target specific” area, I am almost willing to bet that you are already utilizing the Google Adwords PPC marketing strategy in some way! The question is how much are you paying to do it and is it REALLY working for you from a profitability standpoint as best it could?

It does not really matter if you are already using Google Adwords Advertising or if you want to get started in the PPC advertising arena! There are three very important things you need to be aware of before you can truly succeed in the pay per click advertising niche. Just follow these three introductory tips and you will not only increase your overall quality scores… you will find that you can lower your cost per click at the very same time.

1. Stop wasting ALL your time and money competing for overpriced/highly competitive keywords! You can drill down your targeted niche in such a way that you still get considerable traffic FOR LESS MONEY! Focus on one of the high competition keywords and really SEO it correctly to the landing page with fresh original content dissemination on-site and around the web. Implement a targeted in and outbound linking strategy for your site! Lots and lots to discuss here and the PPC Adwords Help you need is available right here for free. Keep reading if you want the raw facts about Google Adwords!

2. Create synergistic relevance from the “lower priced-high traffic keywords” you selected directly to your landing page! Writing compelling, content specific, ad copy will bridge the search query and the landing page in such a way that YOUR quality scores will rise! We can and will show you exactly how to do this!!!

3. Preserve your “winning adwords campaign status” once you build it and clear out the bad performers immediately! Breakdown the individual adgroups by high, middle and low end performance and isolate your money making keywords and ad copy strategies! Split test everything and stay tightly focused with your main keyword and use “LSI” keywords to support it in each and every Adgroup.

Bottom Line: Google wants you to win in the adwords game! However, if you don’t play smart and lose money; THEY DON’T CARE! Show them that you REALLY do care and set up your Google Adwords Campaigns with clear concise, searcher friendly, keyword to ad to landing page correlation and success is YOURS! It’s all right here for your taking!

pay per click and adword exploiting .. One thing thats stumping me?

I came across ‘Google Ambush’ so these programs find the hot products and keywords and sets up a “campaign” to profit from PPC advertising. From what I understand I would be paying per click when ever someone clicks my link that is generated by the software. Am I selling product once a niche Is located.. Are people paying for product ? If its actual physical products then I was confused by the ads “plug it in and relax” attitude

Yes you could be selling digital downloadable products, or it might be a physical product, but don’t worry they will take care of the delivery of the physical product. You will be paying for each click. All you need to do is to check your affiliate commission sales, and track your performance. Also make sure if the Google Ambush have a keyword tracking tool included, because it’s essential to track and find out which keywords actually convert into sales. That’s one very important aspect. That way you can get rid of the non performing keywords, and don’t pay more than you need to, and then you can decrease your keyword bids. Your google adwords campaigns should by now have a good CTR(click through rate). You will still rank higher but pay less now for a click, boosting your ROI(Return on investment). You might find this case study below, helpful. A few tips here and there. That is if you feel the monthly subscription for google ambush don’t fit your budget. I have a few other resources, just send me a mail to jaques606@yahoo.com , and i’ll provide them for you. Include “Google Adwords” in the subject line, so i know it’s from you. :-)

How can I advertise my site on google?

Adsense is for publisher and what is for advertisers? I want to know how much will I pay per click, is there a site that will let me customize my own banner, so my banners would appear on other sites. And what else I have to know about being advertiser?

Thank You!!!

Google AdSense is for publishers while Google AdWords is for advertisers. You can get what you need to know about Google AdWords here:

Google AdWords allows you to create and customize your ad easily. In addition to having your ad appear alongside Google searches, you can allow your ad to appear on websites employing Google AdSense.

Improving Your Quality Score

Learn how to achieve higher Google AdWords rankings . . . for less.

The following is a step-by-step guide to improving your Google AdWords Quality Score.

A search engine’s consumer base is comprised of the people doing the searching. To keep these people coming back (and to ensure that they can keep charging you to get your ads in front of them) they try to ensure that searchers find more or less what they are looking for. They do this in the following way:

1. Encourage relevant results; even when the results are sponsored.
2. All of the major search engines (Google,Yahoo!, and MSN) have implemented a Quality Score algorithm for determining ad relevancy.
3. This algorithm in turn affects ad pricing and ad positioning, offering advantages in pricing and exposure for more relevant ads and advertisers.

Because Google drives over sixty percent of the Internet’s searches and the Google AdWords platform offers the greatest traffic opportunities, we’ll focus on Google’s Quality Score algorithm in describing to you:

1. What factors are included in Quality Score calculations.
2. How you can procure these discounts and this increased exposure.

What is AdWords Quality Score, Exactly?

Well, according to Google: “Quality Score for Google and the search network is a dynamic metric assigned to each of your keywords. It’s calculated using a variety of factors and measures how relevant your keyword is to your ad group and to a user’s search query. The higher a keyword’s Quality Score, the lower its cost-per-clicks (CPCs) and the better its ad position.”

So why is this important? Lowering your cost-per click and improving ad position is crucial to maximizing value for PPC ad campaigns. Generally, you’ll set a maximum bid for every keyword. You’re telling Google “I’ll spend this much, but I can’t go any higher.” In determining how much you pay for ad positioning, Google will take your Quality Score into account, and offer you pricing discounts for higher scores.

Ad position is pretty straight forward: it’s the position in which your ad will show to a searcher in the event that there are multiple competing advertisers for a single keyword search. Better ad position means better exposure, and Google will offer you the same ad position for less if it deems your ads, keywords, and account history sufficiently “relevant”.

How to Improve Your AdWords Quality Score

High quality scores are obviously important if you want to get the best advertising value and rate of return possible. The question then becomes: how are the scores calculated? Again, let’s see what Google has to say: “While we continue to refine our Quality Score formulas for Google and the search network, the core components remain more or less the same:

* The historical click-through rate (CTR) of the keyword and the matched ad on Google; note that CTR on the Google Network only ever impacts Quality Score on the Google Network–not on Google
* Your account history, which is measured by the CTR of all the ads and keywords in your account
* The historical CTR of the display URLs in the ad group
* The quality of your landing page
* The relevance of the keyword to the ads in its ad group
* The relevance of the keyword and the matched ad to the search query
* Your account’s performance in the geographical region where the ad will be shown
* Other relevance factors

Note that there are slight variations to the Quality Score formula when it affects ad position and first page bid:
* For calculating a keyword-targeted ad’s position, landing page quality is not a factor. Also, when calculating ad position on a search network placement, Quality Score considers the CTR on that particular search network partner in addition to CTR on Google.
* For calculating first page bid, Quality Score doesn’t consider the matched ad or search query, since this estimate appears as a metric in your account and doesn’t vary per search query.”

So basically, you need to:
* Maintain a high CTR – The click-through rate is the percentage of people seeing your ad who actually click on it.
* Create relevant Ad Groups – An Ad Group consists of an association of one or more specific keywords which in turn trigger the display of one or more text ads. Ideally, the ad copy used in your text ads should closely reflect the keywords that are being bid on.
* Link your campaigns to relevant landing pages — The Web page to which you send the user upon clicking your ad (i.e. the “Destination URL”) also has to closely reflect the keywords that were used to trigger your ad. For example, if you buy an ad for the search query “custom cabinets,” you should send the people who click on your ad to a page on your website that describes your custom cabinets.
* Do it all over and over again.

So, now we have the “what”:
* You need to maintain high quality scores.
* You need to perform these four critical tasks to score well on the search engines’ quality test.
* You need to carry them out continually.

The most difficult thing here is the never-ending maintenance with Internet Marketing. Achieving high Quality Scores and managing PPC campaigns is an iterative process. It requires close attention to the factors mentioned above, and periodic adjustment.

Anybody having success with Google Adwords?

Just looking to hear from anybody that is working with Google Adwords and making or not making money from it. I’m willing to put in the work to make the money, I just don’t want my work to be in vain if it’s not a money-maker….Thanks in advance for your insight.

Hello, The most important thing about pay per click advertising is that you first know what your conversion rate is. You first just want to know your “conversion rate” of your website. The “conversion rate” is the percentage of people who buy from your site divided by how many people have BEEN to your site. That basically means that if you have 100 people to your site, and 3 people buy from you, then your conversion rate is 3%. Then, you just have to figure out how much you’re able to spend to still make a profit. If after 1000 people have been to your website, and you have 30 sales, then you’re doing well and may want to think about Pay Per Click advertising. If not, you’re just wasting money… I hope this helps! -Andy

New Tactics on Google Pay-Per-Click Search

Small and medium businesses find it necessary to pay for search engine ranking and advertising in order to boost their sales. The primary goal of the advertiser is not to generate thousands of clicks, but to attract a potential customer or actual buyer with each click-through. The largest search engine on the Web, Google, has a reward system of sorts with higher or more frequent placement for ads that generate the most click-throughs.

Among all the pay-per-click search engines, Google Adwords is the largest network operator as of 2006. Depending on the search engine’s market reach, minimum price-per-click varies from $0.01 to $0.50. Common search terms can cost much more. Very popular keywords that draw lots of prospective customers are probably well-known to other businesses in your industry. With everyone vying for the same keywords, the price can be jacked up to several dollars per click!

One thing that Google uses to determine the cost-per-click (CPC) pricing for keywords is the quality score of the landing page. Google AdWords has recently revamped (see http://adwords.blogspot.com/2006/07/landing-page-quality-update.html), its quality scoring system for landing pages. The change affected a small number of sites. However, those sites saw significant changes to their min CPCs (minimum amount one must pay to have an ad displayed.)

Some site accounts went from minimum CPCs of $0.03 – 0.15 to $10.00. In order to adjust to the new Google Adwords changes, webmasters should first examine the document Google AdWords Site Guidelines (see https://adwords.google.com/select/siteguidelines.html)
These were the relevant points from that document that pertained to this situation:

1. Try to provide information without requiring users to register. Or, provide a preview of what users will get by registering.
2. Openly share information about your business. Clearly define what your business is or does.
3. Most internet users are concerned with understanding and controlling how websites use their personal information. In order to build an honest relationship with them, providing clear answers to these questions on your site is a must
4. Develop an easily navigable site.

This usually translated into:
1. Show a sample newsletter (i.e. any other content)
2. Create an “About Us” page (and call it exactly that in both the link and URL)
3. Create a “Privacy Policy Page” (and again, call it exactly that in the link and URL)
4. Create some sort of navigation for the website
Then webmasters should refresh with the Google Webmaster Guidelines (see http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35769)

Google AdWords still has more quality traffic than any other PPC engine. It is essential to use Google AdWords effectively to bring the most quality traffic available to your website. The trick is ensuring Google thinks your page will assist their visitors in finding information (remember, the act of searching is a hunt for the answer).

To improve your quality score, go through every line of Google Site Guidelines (see https://adwords.google.com/select/siteguidelines.html) and ask yourself:
1. Am I following this guideline?
2. Could I make this guideline better from users standpoint?
3. Can the Google score program tell I am following this guideline?

Once you can confidently say you are following these guidelines, your quality score should improve dramatically.

Google is idealistic about how well they treat their users. User satisfaction is more important to their long term goals and success than advertiser satisfaction. This does not mean Google does not want satisfied advertisers, it just means that if there is a tie between interests.

When evaluating your website, pretend you are a random web visitor and think to yourself: Does this website answer all of my questions before I have to give up my personal information?

When the answer is “Yes”, it is time to check your quality score and see if Google AdWords agrees with you. Google only updates the scores a few times a year, the following website gives a Google prediction of your website:

Tips to Boost Your Adwords Quality Score

You know that tailoring your Adwords ad and landing page to your keyword is the way to achieve a good Quality Score.  This is the major consideration when starting a new campaign.  You also know that the CTR of your keyword is important to maintain a good Quality Score.

But, what else can you do to boost your Quality Score.  Assuming you’ve done the above, what else can you do to get a leg up on the competition?  Here you’ll find several tactics designed to boost your Quality Score even further.

(1) Have a link to your sitemap on your landing page
Google has said “Develop an easily navigable site.”  This means you need your landing pages to link to a sitemap of your website.

Normally, you don’t want to give a consumer an alternative to taking your desired action (sign-up for your mailing list, buy a product, etc.) by having some unrelated link on your landing page.  But Google wants you to provide a way for the consumer to link to the rest of your website.  In other words, Google wants you to have more than just a single landing page visible to the consumer.

You still don’t want much navigation on your website.  But you can put a single link to a sitemap on your landing page.  This link should be below the fold (down to where you’d need to scroll down to see it), preferably past your sales copy as the last thing on the page.  Don’t be afraid to make the font smaller as most footer links tend to be of a small font.

(2) Have a link to a “Privacy Policy” page and “Contact Us” page.
Google states “Most internet users are concerned with understanding and controlling how websites use their personal information.”  Google wants you to be transparent, and inform your customers what you tend to do with their personal information.

Create a page named “privacy-policy.htm” on your website, this will help Google identify it.  Copy an existing policy from some other website and modify it for your website.  Link to this page from your landing page.  Again, put the link below the fold and at the end of your sales copy.  You can use a smaller font for the link.

Google also wants you to have contact page to make it easy for a customer to reach you.  Name the page “contact-us.htm” to help Google recognize it.  Include a mailing address, phone number and email address.  Link to the page from your landing page.

If you want to take this tactic to the extreme, you might also try “Terms of Use”, “Terms and Conditions”, “About Us”, “Shipping Policy” or “Return Policy” pages if applicable.

(3) Page Load time
Google now considers page load time as a factor in the Quality Score.  Remove unneeded elements to keep your page lean, and therefore fast.  Don’t have too many images.

(4) Geographic targeting
Google now reevaluates the Quality Score on every search.  Part of the Quality Score is the geographic location, and Google will boost local merchants.  Google knows the consumers IP Address and is able to tell the location from it.

Appending city or state names to your keywords, and then tailoring ads and landing pages for your new keywords may increase you Quality Score.

Plus, you could limit your campaign to your local area.  This would diminish traffic, but it could boost your Quality Score.

having trouble with adwords…can anyone help?

I got an offer with a promotional code in the envelope for $100 that was good for that value until Dec. 4th, and after that date it would drop to $75 and remained there available to be used until Dec. 31; but after that date if the remaining $75 would not be used it would be deleted automatically. So yesterday I tried to fill out the boxes necessary to activate the ads and have them placed online and when all was filled and clicked on “Save and activate”, a long red-box said something like: “Sorry, your account is too old to be eligible to redeem this coupon.” I was like, are you kidding me?! Where did that come from? I don’t what that was about about, but I just recently opened my checking account 7 days before, and had never used AdWords before, only AdSense, so could it have been referring to the fact that I have been using my Gmail account for too long as in, for 2 some years now? Can anyone explain what is going on? Because I tried to get from somebody at Google by phone and online, but so far no success. Has this ever happened to you or someone you know, or maybe you had the opportunity to help someone with an issue like this recently? Thanks in advance

I am sure they can answer your question on the official adword forum http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/AdWords?hl=en&utm_source=awo&utm_campaign=uk-en-ha-ecm_u2u&utm_medium=sem&utm_term=adwords%20forum

I believe I can shed some light on this for you! Very rarely, if ever, does ANYONE get phone assistance on any satisfactory level with Google Customer Support. Just the nature of the beast and because they are so BIG! Coupon codes are often disseminated for use without proper authorization or with limitation restrictions not being mentioned. Not hard to find another coupon offering out there as they are always looking for newbie prey in their income web lol. Coupons are great when it comes to getting familiar with Google and many other PPC advertising networks like Yahoo, Facebook etc. and how to play the game successfully.

Learn how to play by the rules, establish solid campaigns and Adgroups, know what it means to maintain high quality scores and above all else the correlation from your keyword, to ad to landing page. It’s ALL Critical to success!! Good Luck & I Hope This Helps You! To YOUR Adwords Success!

Has anybody out there had actual success with clickbank using Google adwords to advertise?

There’s all these millionaires on the internet claiming they used clickbank and google adwords and now they own these huge mansions and range rovers. I want to know if there are any real people out there who have had real success with this. P.S. Anyhow if you want your investment as a learning cost to gain experience then there is no wrong of trying. In biz we should never fear of making mistakes. The quicker we make mistake and learn from those mistake the sooner we find success.
